The formation process of user experience design team

(A) post setting

When we first set up the UX team, we only set up two positions: interaction designer (UE) and visual designer (UI). Later, because the design specification was formulated, it was necessary to establish a public UI component library to promote the design specification, so two positions of front-end development engineer and front-end test engineer were designed. After the team developed for a period of time, we added the post of user researcher and strengthened the work of user research and data analysis. The whole team is currently divided into two groups: design group and front-end group.

The design team has three positions: user research, interactive design and visual design. User researcher is responsible for user research, and interaction designer (UE) is mainly responsible for interaction design and system prototyping. The visual designer (UI) is responsible for visual design and rendering.

There are two types of positions in the front-end group: front-end development and front-end testing. The front-end development engineer is mainly responsible for UI component library development, static page development of some projects, mobile development and front-end technical support.

Team building of entrepreneurial team mainly includes the following three aspects:

Establish work flow and various rules and regulations, mainly to clarify job responsibilities, work assessment system, team morning/weekly/monthly meeting system, formulate various work plans, and so on.
