In the artistic treatment of this painting, no matter the figure modeling or the layout of streets, vehicles, buildings, bridges and cargo ships, we have to be ingenious in brushwork. The second time I was lucky enough to see this treasure, I was lucky enough to shoot it, although the shooting technology was not good, because the news media were not allowed to shoot reports. So please forgive me, when I watched the world classic dance drama Carmen in Hefei last year, the news media were not allowed to shoot it. After I saw it for the first time last year, I asked for it, but it was not approved! The panoramic view of the canal is unique in the world. There is no copy at present!

The story of the mascot of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games: Introduction to the design concept of the mascot of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games: Each design is full of all kinds of interesting stories, and the mascot of the Hangzhou Asian Games is also accompanied by such interesting stories. The mascots of the 2022 19 Asian Games in Hangzhou are a group of robots named Jiang Nanyi, named Congcong and Lianlian respectively. So, what is the story of the mascot of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games? Come with me to see the design concept of Olympic mascots for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

The story of the mascot of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games

The mascots of the Asian Games are a group of robots named Jiang Nanyi, named Cong Cong, Lian Lian and Chen Chen respectively. "Congcong" represents the world heritage Liangzhu ancient city with the shape of a robot, and its name comes from Yu Cong, a representative cultural relic unearthed from the site of Liangzhu ancient city. "Lotus" represents the world heritage West Lake in the shape of a robot, and its name comes from the infinite blue lotus leaves in the West Lake. "Chen Chen" represents the World Heritage Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the shape of a robot, and its name comes from the landmark Chen Gong Bridge in Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

The design of Jiang Nanyi (Cong Cong, Lianlian and chenchen), the mascots of Hangzhou Asian Games, was the painstaking efforts of designer Zhang Wen, and was completed by his wife Yang, both of whom are young teachers in China Academy of Art. With the popularity of design works, Zhang Wen's quiet life has also changed. He told reporters that the design of the mascot can not be separated from his hometown and living environment. "It's like a' three treasures', telling the story of Jiangnan."

Zhang Wen 1987 was born in jiangbiancun, Huangtian Street, Yongjia County, Wenzhou, and grew up in nanxi river. He was admitted to China Academy of Art in 2004 and chose to stay as a teacher after finishing his studies. His wife Yang is from Hangzhou. They are both graduate students. Zhang Wen focuses on animation design, while Yang focuses on illustration. They are both colleagues and good partners in work design.

"Design inspiration comes from life, and it is also the refinement of our good memories of Hangzhou." Zhang Wen said that at that time, their child "Xibao" was 3 years old, and the couple often took her for a walk in the streets of Hangzhou. The landmark buildings in Hangzhou, such as Liangzhu Museum, Canal Square and West Lake, are just the prototypes of the design image of Jiang Nanyi Group.

"I once thought about using fish, deer and other representative animals to design mascots, and finally decided to start from the core elements of Hangzhou city and reflect the profound humanistic temperament of Jiangnan." After determining the design inspiration, Zhang Wen and his wife worked together to complete the first draft of the design and write a copy in two weeks. "Jiang Nanyi, what I remember most is Hangzhou." Bai Juyi's poem flashed through my mind, and Zhang Wen decided that the name of the mascot would be "Jiang Nanyi" combination.

Integrating cultural life into artistic design is also Zhang Wen's idea and initial intention of designing mascots.

Jiangnan feelings have also been integrated into the mascot design. After careful observation, it is not difficult to find that the "Jiang Nanyi" combination design has hidden dark lines, ears like fins, feet with fish scales, and mascots have the texture of fish, like swimming in the water at any time.

In addition to the main design of the mascot, they have to complete the design of four sections according to the arrangement of the Asian Games Organizing Committee, including design specifications, artistic guidance, sports modeling design and visual image guidance.

"We will consider every adjustment for a long time." Zhang Wen said that in the animation works, "Cong Cong" has a light yellow and transparent matte jade cong texture and a sense of fluorescent technology; The texture of "Chen Chen" is between water and porcelain, with a slight mechanical feeling; The "skin" of "Lian Lian" is fine-tuned on the basis of the texture of porcelain in the Song Dynasty, and the color tone is more vivid. The whole creative process, from the first draft to the final draft, has undergone 6 major revisions and 20 minor revisions. The couple accompany each other, support each other and give full play to their strengths in the tacit creative process.

Now, there are mascots for the Asian Games in the streets and alleys of Hangzhou. In the eyes of the couple, this "Jiang Nanyi" group represents the Asian Games, Zhejiang and China, and it is also their simplest "confession" to the city of Hangzhou. "They seem to exist vividly and truly in our lives, with personality and temperature. Just like the three ordinary Hangzhou citizens around us, they welcome visitors from all directions on behalf of Hangzhou." Zhang Wen said.

In life, Zhang Wen is also a sports fan, and likes watching basketball games and football games. He is also concerned about the just-concluded Winter Olympics. During the break, he will run along the Yangtze River in Hangzhou for15km. This family is also proud to be a part of the construction of the Asian Games.

"I suddenly feel that the density of life is very full, and I have more thoughts on life and work." Zhang Wen said that he, like many ordinary people who participated in the construction of the Hangzhou Asian Games, took this opportunity to usher in a new life trajectory and opportunity, with a fuller mental state, more open cognition, more friends and more open design thinking.

At present, the couple are busy designing mascots, and they are also full of expectations for the grand event to be held at the "doorstep" in September this year. "At that time, the mascot will appear on the torch relay, on the podium of the stadium, especially at the opening ceremony, so that friends all over the world can feel the profound China culture, Jiangnan characteristics and the spirit of the Asian Games. We look forward to the' Jiang Nanyi' combination bringing joy to everyone. " Zhang Wen said.
