Why is Jinan Airport called Yao Qiang?

Jinan Airport is located in Yao Qiang Town, Licheng District, northeast of Jinan City, Shandong Province, so it is called Jinan Yao Qiang International Airport. In addition to Jinan Yao Qiang Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport and Xi Xianyang Airport are all named after the airport location.

Why is Jinan Airport called Yao Qiang?

Jinan Yao Qiang International Airport, about 30 kilometers away from the city center, was opened to traffic on July 26th. 1992. After continuous expansion, it has now become a panoramic view of the airport.
