The signalman is a common recruitment position in manufacturing industry. What does a signal contractor do?

A signalman, a person who directs lifting equipment. Signal is a command function, and the crane driver makes various actions of lifting equipment according to the instructions of the signalman. Usually signal attackers and cable workers. The so-called cable refers to the binding of lifting heavy objects, how thick the wire rope is or what kind of strips are used, the strongest binding knot, the most reasonable binding and so on.

The ground operator responsible for lifting and handling is called a contractor (or assembler). The foreman's main job is to clean up the job site, prepare the spreader, bind the lifting objects and hooks, signal the crane driver to direct the lifting objects to move, and then unhook, place the lifting objects or pile up materials after reaching the destination.

Foreman refers to the ground personnel who are mainly engaged in the preparation of lifting tools, hooks, hooks and unloading. In most cases, they also serve as command tasks, and the quality of the foreman's work has a great relationship with the safety of the whole handling operation.

Prepare slings to accurately estimate the weight and center of gravity of the hoisted object. If it is visual inspection, it should be increased by 20% to select slings. Every time lifting, carefully check the safety of the sling. If it is an old sling, it should be downgraded according to the situation. Never be lucky enough to overload or use scrapped slings.

Their responsibilities are different: the responsibility of the contractor.

However, both of them belong to special jobs, requiring employees to pass the training and hold post IC cards, namely "People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Operation Certificate" issued by the State Administration of Work Safety and the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety.
