Job-hunting story: Do the job you are interested in.

A year's plan starts with spring. For many job seekers, whether they are "old employees" or "newcomers", the job fair after the year is an important platform for finding a good position. After the Spring Festival, shishi city organized several Spring Festival human resources recruitment fairs, providing nearly 10,000 jobs for job seekers. In the face of these positions, besides salary, what will job seekers pay attention to? What experiences will these job seekers have in the process of job hunting?

Recently, I walked into the post-holiday job fair in our city to learn about the story of job hunting during the Spring Festival and some new workplace concepts revealed from it.

Do what you are interested in.

On the morning of March 6th, on the third floor of shishi city Human Resources Building, another Chinese New Year human resources job fair was held here. Compared with the first post-holiday job fair on February 28th, there were more companies recruiting for admission on that day, and tables and corporate recruitment posters were placed in some aisles and corners. I also saw many enterprise personnel rushing to the scene to find the organizers, hoping to temporarily add a "recruitment position" to them.

"At the first job fair, there were more than 100 recruitment companies. Look at this situation, there are more than 200 recruitment companies. " A job fair worker said to him while he was busy "arranging" the admission of enterprises. Unlike corporate recruiters who came to the job fair early, job seekers appeared to be "in no hurry", and the number of job seekers increased after 10 am.

Xiao Wu from Nanping walked into the job fair with two friends. After seeing the recruitment booths of several enterprises, the three separated. "Let's come together. It's best if you can enter the same company, but I think that's unlikely. " Xiao Wu told me that everyone likes to do different jobs, some like stable jobs, and some like a little challenging, so he thinks it is better to apply separately. During the exchange, he told me that after graduation the year before last, he worked in a garment enterprise in Jinjiang, but his step-by-step work made him feel a little boring, so he wanted to change his working environment. His intention was to find a job to run the enterprise. He believes that running a business is more challenging and can exercise people. In the morning, Mr. Xiao Wu submitted two resumes for job hunting, but his friend didn't submit resumes because he didn't find a position he was interested in.

At the job fair, I saw a man with a dozen recruitment brochures in his hand. After communicating with him, I learned that the man surnamed Su was from Jiangxi. He used to work in a shoe factory and a courier company. This year, he wants to change his working environment and find jobs related to planning and promotion. According to its introduction, on the one hand, the reason for wanting to change jobs is that my previous job was "manual labor" and I was a little tired; On the other hand, he is more interested in planning. Talking about his job hunting experience, he said that he came out of his hometown on the tenth day of the first month. He attended several job fairs these days and submitted his resume online. Two companies have offered him an olive branch, but he wants to compare with one or two companies before making a decision.

Seek the space for career development

"Now job seekers not only pay attention to salary, but also pay attention to what they can learn in the post, how much room for promotion, and whether it will help their future development." Before the recruitment point of a building materials manufacturer, the person in charge of recruitment told him that he had attended the job fair almost every year in recent years, and he felt that the job seeker's concept of job hunting had changed a lot. Most obviously, many job seekers have a farther "vision".

In the communication with the person in charge, a young woman just came to consult. The woman surnamed Zhang used to work in Guangdong. Because both her parents work in Shishi, she decided to come to Shishi to find a job this year. She used to be a sales merchandiser, so she wants to find a similar position and hope to have more room for promotion. In view of Xiao Zhang's job hunting intention, the person in charge recommended several related positions to him, as well as the promotion conditions and space for different positions, and said that the company would organize professional training for new employees so that they could integrate into the new working environment as soon as possible and master relevant knowledge and skills. Xiao Zhang was very satisfied and filled out the job intention form on the spot.

In the communication with some enterprise recruiters and job seekers, I noticed that besides salary, many young job seekers are very concerned about the promotion space of their positions and the "boosting" role of their positions in their future personal development. Some job seekers told me that if an enterprise has a good training system and smooth promotion space, it can learn some skills and improve its qualifications, even if the salary is lower.

Li Xianxian from Zhangzhou came to the scene 1 1 in the morning. After reading the recruitment posters of several companies, he went to a clothing company to ask about the position. It turns out that he is interested in the online marketing position of the enterprise and wants to know whether the job requirements and working environment are suitable for him. In the communication with Mr. Li, I learned that Mr. Li and his friends jointly opened a clothing store, but the business was not so good. At the beginning of last year, they opened an online shop, but the business of the online shop was not ideal. Mainly due to the lack of practical experience in online store management and promotion, I want to work in the online store management department of some large enterprises first and accumulate some experience. In the interview, Mr. Li believes that finding a job is not only to find a job, but also to accumulate experience for his future development.

"Problems" in Recruitment

At the job fair, when you see a job seeker browsing the enterprise recruitment brochure, the staff responsible for the recruitment of the enterprise will take the initiative to say hello, hand over a piece of enterprise recruitment publicity materials, or invite the job seeker to sit down and communicate.

"Many companies offer similar positions, such as personnel assistant, salesman, merchandiser and business representative, but the job content of different companies is very different. Some job seekers may not notice this, so when job seekers come, we all have to make an introduction. " In front of a clothing accessories recruitment point, Miss Xu, who is in charge of recruitment, told me that she attended the job fair after the Shishi Festival, and many job seekers came to their enterprise recruitment point. As a recruiter, she will take the initiative to greet job seekers and introduce positions.

Miss Xu said that the "questions" that job seekers often ask mainly involve entry requirements, post salary, working environment and accommodation conditions. The most common "questions" are: "How much is a month", "How many people are there in the dormitory", "When will the salary be paid every month", "How many days can I rest in a month" and "Where is my workplace". She often asks job seekers questions. Although her company does not require too much work experience when recruiting personnel, it needs to know the job-seeking experience and intention of job seekers. In addition, she will also know about the job seeker's family, because in her opinion, whether the job seeker's family is in Shishi, or what kind of work he is engaged in, will also have an impact on the job seeker's post-employment work.

In front of a hotel recruitment point, two staff members in charge of recruitment also answer questions from different job seekers from time to time. Looking around, I found that most job seekers asked questions about salary and accommodation, such as "how much bonus will there be at the end of the year", "how many people will live in a room" and "how many meals will be provided". When a woman in her 40 s asked about the position of cleaning staff, she asked whether there was an age limit for recruiting security guards and whether children could go to school nearby after joining the company.

"Amateur life" is another consideration.

In interviews at job fairs, some corporate recruiters told reporters that job seekers now have higher requirements for the working environment. For example, in terms of accommodation conditions, although most enterprises provide dormitories for husband and wife employees, they still provide collective dormitories for single employees, with six or seven people living in one room and two people living in one room. At the same time, daily working hours, monthly rest days, annual leave days and whether there are holidays on legal holidays have also become "concerns" for job seekers.

The recruiter of an electronics company said that their company has made great improvements in this area in recent years because job seekers have higher and higher requirements for accommodation. In previous years, the staff dormitory was eight rooms, but now it is six rooms, equipped with toilet, balcony and hot water, and all the electricity charges are borne by the company. The recruiter of another accessories company told me that her company now has good accommodation conditions, all of which are double rooms. Like a small apartment, it has a balcony, air conditioning, hot water and free broadband and WIFI. In her view, young people nowadays pay more attention to the "amateur life" environment in enterprises when applying for jobs.

In the communication with some young job seekers, I obviously feel their new concept of workplace. In their eyes, life is not just work, but also family, friends circle and their hobbies, which need time and energy to take care of, so they also care about "spare time". Whether enterprises often organize some spare-time activities, whether they have enough rest time and holidays, and whether the dormitory provides broadband and WIFI have become their positions for serving enterprises.
