Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital (Guangzhou Hepatology Hospital) was founded in 192 1, and now it is divided into two campuses. One is Dongfeng Road Campus, located at No.627 Dongfeng East Road, Guangzhou, with 400 beds, which mainly treats infectious diseases such as liver disease and AIDS. The other is Jiahe Hospital, located at No.8 Huaying Road, Jiahe, Baiyun District, with beds 1 10,000. It will be built in three phases, and it is a large general hospital with 200 beds in the first phase.

The Eighth People's Hospital of Guangzhou undertakes the task of treating infectious diseases and public health emergencies in Guangzhou, and has accumulated rich experience in the prevention, control, diagnosis, treatment and scientific research of major infectious diseases, especially viral hepatitis and AIDS. The prevention and treatment of AIDS is at the advanced level in China, and it is the national clinical drug test base for liver diseases and AIDS, the training base for AIDS clinicians of the Ministry of Health and the clinical teaching base of general medical colleges in Guangdong Province. The infectious diseases department of the hospital is a key medical department in Guangdong Province, and the traditional Chinese medicine department is now a famous hepatology department in Guangzhou.
