Lianxi District is Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province.

Lianxi District is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, on the south bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It belongs to Jiujiang City. It is adjacent to Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China in the east, across the river from Hubei and Anhui in the north, Changjiu Industrial Corridor in the west and Lushan Mountain, a tourist resort in the south. Known as the "Beijing-Kowloon Town and the Pearl of Poyang Lake". The total area is 387.5 square kilometers.

Lianxi district has experienced magma intrusion and active glaciers in geological history, so the landforms are varied and beautiful among the mountains. This area is located in the humid climate zone of the transition from the middle subtropical zone to the north subtropical zone. Lianxi District has a long history. The Spring and Autumn Period is the west of Wu territory and the east of Chu territory, commonly known as "Wu Tou Chu Wei". At the beginning of the Warring States period, it belonged to Wu, then to Yue and then to Southern Chu. In the twenty-sixth year of Qin Shihuang, it was divided into thirty-six counties and transferred to Jiujiang County. On April 8, 20 16, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province revoked Xing Zi County and established Lushan City. In order to avoid duplicate names, Lushan District was renamed Lianxi District.

Lianxi District is rich in biological resources, with 223 cultivated varieties of crops, among which Lushan Yunwu Tea won the National Silver Award. There are more than 30 species of national key protected wild animals, among which ACIPENSER sinensis is the rarest national first-class protected animal in the world. Native products include "Lushan Three Stones" (stone fish, stone chicken, tremella), Jiujiang early pepper, Podocarpus, lettuce, bamboo for bamboo shoots and so on.
