Dongying City is a prefecture-level city in Shandong Province. It was established in October 1983 and is the central city of the Yellow River Delta. It is located in the delta zone at the mouth of the Yellow River in the northeastern part of Shandong Province, with 118°5° east longitude and 38°15° north latitude. Introduction to Dongying

On August 30, 1983, the State Council approved the Shandong Provincial Government’s request for instructions with [83] Guohanzi No. 175 document and placed Guangrao County under Dongying City. On October 15, 1983, a meeting was held to celebrate the establishment of Dongying City, and Dongying City was officially listed. 2 Dongying has obvious geographical advantages: it faces the Bohai Sea to the east, faces Japan and South Korea across the sea, and is adjacent to the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Economic Zone to the north.
