1. Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College is a public, junior college-level college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school's predecessor was Liaoyuan Mining College, which was founded in August 1958. In July 1999, Jilin Industrial School merged with Liaoyuan Vocational College and Liaoyuan Branch of Jilin Radio and TV University to form Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College, with the same school name. It is a national pilot university for training skilled talents in short supply and a demonstration higher vocational college in Jilin Province.

2. As of December 214, the college is divided into three campuses, namely, the headquarters, the medicine branch and the adult campus. The school covers an area of 332,6 square meters with a construction area of 151,6 square meters. There are 42, paper books, 21GB electronic books, 46.2 million yuan of teaching instruments and equipment, four departments in seven departments and 43 majors. The total number of teachers is 411, and there are 591 full-time ordinary higher vocational students.

3. As of December 214, there were 411 teachers in the school, including 35 full-time teachers, 13 part-time teachers, 89 part-time teachers and 4 part-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there were 38 professors, 85 associate professors and 149 "double-qualified" teachers. The proportion of full-time teachers' professional titles is 38.93, and the proportion of full-time teachers' dual-qualification is 36.25. Four teaching teams are rated as provincial-level teaching teams, including one skilled teacher in Changbai Mountain and one provincial-level teaching teacher in Jilin Province.
