Brief introduction of Tangqiao town

Tangqiao Town, Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province is located at the intersection of China coast and Yangtze River economic development belt, in the southeast of Zhangjiagang City, an emerging port city in the Yangtze River Delta, surrounded by large and medium-sized cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Nantong. The town has a total area of 94.4 square kilometers and a total population of nearly 200,000, including 89,000 registered residents. It has two offices, three community neighborhood committees and 14 village committees. In 2009, it was established as a "pilot town for comprehensive reform of urban and rural integration in Suzhou", with a per capita net income of 15782 yuan.
