Since the establishment of Zhejiang Radio and TV University Lin 'an Branch for more than 20 years, the school has always adhered to the party's educational policy and the direction of "cultivating applied talents for local economic construction". Under the leadership of Lin 'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and the guidance of provincial and municipal TV universities, various forms of junior college and undergraduate education have been set up, and the cause has made great progress. Central Radio and TV University and Power Saving University have set up more than 30 majors such as liberal arts, science, economics and management. It has trained 1687 college graduates and 1800 secondary school graduates, and completed the task of non-academic education for tens of thousands of people. The school has 30 teaching and administrative staff (full-time teachers 16, part-time teachers 9), including 2 with senior titles and 9 with intermediate titles. More than 30 part-time teachers from provincial and municipal TV universities and other universities have been hired, and a team of teachers with high quality, reasonable structure and adaptability to modern distance education has initially formed.

The school building covers a total area of 6,500 square meters, covering an area of 13. 18 mu. The school invested more than 700,000 yuan to implement the reform of personnel training mode and the pilot project of modern distance education. A 1 broadband two-way video conference system, an audio-visual reading room, a satellite receiving device and a computer laboratory have been built successively. Three computer rooms and four multimedia classrooms have been newly built and rebuilt, with a total of 100 computers. The network center and campus network have been transformed, and a network with an independent domain name has been applied for. In addition, the school plans to invest more than 600,000 yuan in 2003 to further improve the conditions for running a modern distance education pilot. With the care and support of Lin 'an Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, Municipal Education Bureau and provincial and municipal TV universities, the strength of running modern distance education in Lin 'an TV University is getting stronger and stronger.

In recent years, Lin 'an Radio and TV University has continuously deepened a number of reforms in its internal management system and operation mechanism, taking accelerating the modernization of teaching, developing modern distance education and improving the quality of education as important contents of deepening education reform, actively exploring the reform of personnel training mode and the pilot of modern distance education, and making unremitting efforts in building autonomous learning mode, teaching service support system and teaching quality guarantee system.
