What is a cost engineer?

Cost engineer, also known as cost engineer, refers to an engineering economic professional who is qualified by the state and registered to practice, specially accepts the designation, entrustment or employment of a certain department or unit, and is responsible for and assists it in the valuation, valuation and management of engineering cost in order to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.

How to apply for a first-class cost engineer?

Anyone who abides by the Constitution, laws and regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC), has good professional quality and moral conduct, and meets one of the following conditions may apply for the first-class cost engineer professional qualification examination:

(a) to obtain a college degree in engineering cost (or higher vocational education) and have been engaged in engineering cost business for 5 years; College degree or higher vocational education in civil engineering, water conservancy, equipment manufacturing, transportation, electronic information, finance and trade, etc., and engaged in engineering cost business for 6 years.

(two) to obtain a bachelor's degree or degree in engineering management and engineering cost that is qualified in the evaluation (certification) of engineering education, and to be engaged in engineering cost business for 4 years; Bachelor degree or degree in engineering, management or economics, and engaged in engineering cost business for 5 years.

(three) to obtain a master's degree or a second bachelor's degree in engineering, management and economics, and to engage in engineering cost business for 3 years.

(four) with a doctorate in engineering, management, economics, engaged in engineering cost business for 1 year.

(5) For those with corresponding academic qualifications or degrees in other majors, the working years of engineering cost business will be increased accordingly 1 year.

How to apply for the second-level cost engineer?

Abide by the Constitution, laws and regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC), have good professional quality and moral conduct, and meet one of the following conditions, you can apply to participate in the secondary cost engineer professional qualification examination:

(a) to obtain a college degree in engineering cost (or higher vocational education) and have been engaged in engineering cost business for 2 years; College degree or higher vocational education in civil engineering, water conservancy, equipment manufacturing, transportation, electronic information, finance and trade, etc., and engaged in engineering cost business for 3 years.

(2) Having a bachelor degree or above in engineering management or engineering cost, and having been engaged in engineering cost business for 1 year; Bachelor degree or above in engineering, management and economics, and engaged in engineering cost business for 2 years.

(3) The working years of other professionals with corresponding academic qualifications or degrees engaged in engineering cost business increase 1 year.

Conditions for exemption of first-class cost engineer:

The first-class cost engineer professional qualification examination consists of four subjects: construction project cost management, construction project valuation, construction project technology and measurement, and construction project cost case analysis. Among them, construction engineering cost management and construction engineering valuation are basic disciplines, and construction engineering technology and measurement and construction engineering cost case analysis are professional disciplines.

Those who have obtained the professional qualification certificate of cost engineer and signed up for other professional subjects can be exempted from the basic subjects.

Have one of the following conditions, to participate in the first-class cost engineer exam can be exempted from basic subjects:

(a) has obtained the qualification certificate of highway engineering cost personnel (Grade A);

(two) has obtained the qualification certificate of cost engineer of waterway engineering;

(three) has obtained the qualification certificate of water conservancy project cost engineer.

Conditions for exemption of Grade II cost engineer:

Have one of the following conditions, to participate in the two-level cost engineer exam can be exempted from basic subjects:
