Train drivers need to have passed the relevant examinations of the Railway Bureau and obtained the corresponding driver's license (hereinafter referred to as driver's license).

According to Article 4 of the Measures for Licensing the Qualification of Railway Locomotive and Rolling Stock Drivers, to apply for a driver's license, the following conditions are required:

(a) no more than 45 years of age, good health, in line with the standards stipulated in the "Code for Occupational Health Examination of Railway Locomotive Attendants", and proficient in using Mandarin for communication;

(2) Classes A, B and C must have relevant secondary professional education or above recognized by the state, and classes D, E and F must have high school, technical school or above;

(3) Drivers who apply for high-speed and heavy-haul trains and ride alone must hold the position of driver for more than 2 years and have a safe crew of more than 65,438+10,000 kilometers;

(4) Having passed the driver qualification examination organized by the Ministry of Railways;

Railway driver's license is divided into six categories: A, B, C, D, E and F. Class A: driving diesel locomotive, electric locomotive and EMU. Class B: Driving diesel locomotives and diesel multiple units. Class c: driving electric locomotives and emus. Class d: driving large-scale road maintenance machinery. Class E: Driving a heavy rail car. Class F: Other vehicles. The driving license is valid for 6 years.

Drivers who hold any one of Class A, B and C driver's licenses and pass special training and grading examinations are allowed to drive passenger trains with a speed of 200 kilometers per hour or more. The original driver's license (positive certificate) is stamped with the word "high" on the front.

Drivers who are allowed to drive heavy-haul trains of more than 10,000 tons shall hold the original driver's license with the word "heavy" stamped on the front (positive certificate); Drivers who are allowed to operate the train alone must hold the original driver's license (positive certificate) stamped with the word "single" on the front.
