Industrial development in Xianjiang Town

In 2005, the industry achieved year-on-year growth of 12.6%. There are 76 large-scale enterprises in Xianjiang Town with a value of more than 5 million yuan, 5 fewer than in 2004, and the output value of large-scale enterprises accounts for 64.9% of the total industrial output value. The construction of the industrial park is progressing smoothly, with an investment of 100 million yuan in fixed assets, accounting for 43.5% of the total investment, and the construction of infrastructure such as telecommunications, electricity, and tap water. The application of technology in enterprise production has gradually become popular. The rubber shoe industry has shifted from primary to secondary vulcanization to tertiary vulcanization. Eight new rubber shoe production lines have been added. Enterprises entering the footwear industry base have installed boiler dust removal, exhaust, and dust treatment, and installed equipment that has passed national standards. Implementing the "Brand Fairy Drop" strategy, there are 14 enterprises with provincial brands, 9 enterprises with Wenzhou brands, 1 Wenzhou famous brand product, 1 Wenzhou municipal well-known trademark, and 2 Ruian municipal brand trademarks. 13 companies have passed ISO9000 quality system certification. The safety production responsibility system has been implemented, and more than 400 responsibility letters have been signed with enterprises, 40 responsibility letters have been signed with village committees, and 12,858 responsibility letters have been signed between village committees and farmers. Distributed 5,000 copies of "A Letter to the People of the Town on Safety in Production", 2,000 copies of "Fire Safety Enters Every Household" picture material, 50 books on fire safety knowledge, and more than 10 banners and slogans. Invest 5,000 yuan to renovate the town's full-time fire garage and recruit 2 full-time firefighters. During the "Iron Grid Operation" in Xianjiang Town, 498 companies were inspected, 381 companies with safety hazards were rectified, and 18 companies were shut down.
