The production of 5nm in etching machine at the end of the year is only reported by CCTV, but also depends on the enterprise plan.

At present, Shang Wei is the best enterprise that independently produces mask aligner in China, and its mask aligner is 90nm standard, because it can't get any related parts from foreign companies. In fact, 45nm mask aligner was produced as early as a few years ago, but it has retreated to 90nm after being banned (in contrast, Dutch ASML products use German lenses, American gratings and the essence of advantageous industries in various countries).

Domestic chips can design high-performance chips as long as they want, but it is meaningless that they cannot be put into the market. X86 instruction set and ARM instruction set have occupied the desktop and mobile market. After decades of efforts and patent protection, all the software is designed according to them, and the soil for the birth of new instruction sets is gone. China can design a good chip, even at the wavelength of 5nm or even 3nm. What we lack is the equipment for processing chips, that is, mask aligner, or mask aligner, to put it bluntly, but our country has solved the problem of mask aligner.
