Ziyang Dental Vocational College is an independent, full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, filed with the Ministry of Education, and under the supervision of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education.

Ziyang Dental Vocational College was established in March 2019 by Sichuan Investment Group Co., Ltd. (Sichuan Investment Group is a state-owned asset operating entity authorized by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, a financing entity and investment entity for key construction projects. One of the entities is the investment and construction of Sichuan Yaguyuan Education Management Co., Ltd., a wholly state-owned company managed by the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission) with absolute control (accounting for 70%).
