Shanghai GM Jinqiao Base, located in Jinqiao Development Zone, Pudong, Shanghai, is the first manufacturing base of Shanghai GM. 1997, jinqiao base has two vehicle factories and one powertrain factory, covering an area of * * * 796,000 square meters, with a construction area of over 4 1 10,000 square meters. The whole set of lean management and lean production system established and successfully verified by Shanghai GM in Jinqiao base has become the standard template for the construction of Shanghai GM system, and has been replicated and applied in Yantai Dongyue and Shenyang Beisheng base successively, which has played a key role in the rapid integration of these two bases into Shanghai GM.

Shanghai GM Dongyue Base is located in Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province, including two highly modern automobile factories and a powertrain factory. It has four production processes: stamping, car body, painting and assembly, as well as powertrain workshops such as forging, casting, aluminum casting, engine and gearbox.

Dongyue Automobile was established in February 2003 10, which is the first production base of Shanghai General Motors outside Shanghai. It not only pioneered the merger and reorganization of domestic joint ventures, but also created a brand-new mode of cross-regional integrated operation of the automobile industry. In the past ten years, Dongyue base has seized the market opportunity from a high starting point and rapidly grown into a first-class automobile manufacturing base. Today, the products of Shanghai GM Dongyue Base cover more than 50 models, various engines and gearboxes of Buick and Chevrolet brands. In the past ten years, Dongyue Base has produced 2 million vehicles and more than 6 million powertrains. Products are exported to 20 countries and regions in South America, Asia, Africa and Europe, which provides a powerful engine for Shanghai GM to continue to lead the China automobile market.

At the same time, as a regional industry leader, Shanghai GM Dongyue Base has attracted and driven nearly 100 supporting enterprises to settle in Yantai, forming one of the "three billion-level industries in Yantai" and making positive contributions to the development of automobile industry in Yantai and even Shandong.

Shanghai GM (Shenyang) Beisheng Automobile Co., Ltd. was established on August 2, 2004, which is another successful example of Shanghai GM system replication after Dongyue Base. As a successful example of the merger and reorganization of China automobile industry, Shanghai GM Beisheng Automobile has fully introduced the lean manufacturing and lean management system of Shanghai GM. Beisheng Base adheres to the five principles of "standardization, manufacturing quality, shortening manufacturing cycle, continuous improvement and employee participation", and integrates into the operating system of Shanghai General Motors from product planning, manufacturing, parts procurement, information, quality system and human resources, so as to become a lean, flexible, modular, agile and high-quality product factory.

On July 20 1 1, the expansion project of Beisheng (Phase III) started. The main construction contents of this project include five new workshops and supporting auxiliary facilities for stamping, car body, painting, assembly and powertrain, all of which adopt world-class technical equipment and international high-standard environmental protection facilities, and will build a first-class model factory for lean production and lean management.

Shanghai General Motors Wuhan Branch has a total investment of 7 billion yuan and a planned land area of 2.32 square kilometers. The construction project mainly includes four process workshops, namely stamping, car body, painting and final assembly, and supporting auxiliary facilities. The construction scale is 300,000 vehicles/year, and it will be completed and put into operation in 20 15 years. The factory will adopt world-advanced process equipment and international high-standard environmental protection facilities, transplant and extend Shanghai GM's world-class lean production and lean management system, and become a green environmental protection factory integrating lean, agile, flexible and modular, and will produce products including small and medium-sized cars, SUVs and new energy vehicles.

The construction of Wuhan branch is an important measure for Shanghai GM to achieve the strategic goal of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan. Through this forward-looking layout, the layout of Shanghai GM's national production base expanding from the coast to the inland will be more perfect, which is conducive to further expanding the emerging central and western markets. At the same time, the completed Shanghai General Motors Wuhan Branch will highlight its leading position in the local industrial cluster, which will bring greater impetus and radiation to regional economic growth.
