What is the special post plan?

The special post plan is to set up special funds by the central government for the salary expenses of special post teachers, and to improve the overall quality of rural teachers by openly recruiting college graduates to teach in rural compulsory education schools below the "two basics" counties in the west.

In 2006, the Ministry of Education and other four departments jointly launched the "Special Post Plan for School Teachers in Rural Compulsory Education Stage" to openly recruit college graduates to teach in rural schools in western China.
