Zhanaga Copper Mine in Changdu County ()

Zanaga Copper Mine is located in the southeast of Toppa District, Changdu County, and there is a simple highway leading to the mining area.

Copper mineralization occurs in Zanaga porphyry and its altered surrounding rocks. The plane shape of the ore body is irregular wedge, with a length of 1204m and a width of 666m. The ore type is mainly veinlet disseminated type, and the main minerals are chalcopyrite and molybdenite, accompanied by gold and silver. The grade of copper is 0.2%-0.4%. 1984 Tibet Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources approved the copper reserves of 394,600 tons, of which the available copper reserves were 3 1.84 million tons. There are 337 tons of molybdenum, 3.68 tons of gold and 344 tons of silver.

1973- 1974, the geological survey team of Yulong-Mangkang region composed of Fu Xingbao, He Yunzhong and Tang, the first geological brigade of Tibet Geological Bureau, discovered the Zanaga porphyry rock mass, and the copper content on the surface of the rock mass was generally 0.0 1%. They believe that the deposit has the characteristics of porphyry copper deposit and it is necessary for further study. 1975, the brigade formed a mine inspection team headed by Fu Xingbao, made a topographic and geological sketch of 1∶2000 in Zanaga, delineated the surface distribution range of porphyry bodies, roughly understood the geological and mineralization characteristics, completed the measurement of soil metal content, and delineated the high abnormal background area and abnormal area. Their conclusion is that Zanaga is a porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit with further work value, and there may be copper-molybdenum deposits with industrial value in the deep part.

Electrical prospecting and geochemical exploration were carried out in 1977 and 1980, which provided data for deep exploration.

1981-1983, served as the technical director of the mining area, and the main technicians such as Wang, Wang, Dai conducted a general survey of the mining area. In addition to mapping topographic maps and topographic and geological maps, they also used drilling and trench exploration to control ore bodies, with a drilling workload of 2000. 1984 submitted the general survey report of Zhanaga porphyry copper-molybdenum mine in Changdu County, Xizang Autonomous Region.
