The construction of this project is of great significance for perfecting the layout of China's railway network, forming a fast railway passage from southwest to south China, developing tourism and mineral resources along the line, promoting economic development along the line and further opening up.
According to the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission, the new project line leads from Chongqing West Railway Station, passes through Qijiang, Tongzi, Zunyi and Xifeng, and ends at Guiyang North Station. The total length of the main line is about 345 kilometers, including 1 12 kilometers in Chongqing and 233 kilometers in Guizhou province. At the same time, the supporting projects of Chongqing and Guiyang hubs will also be built accordingly.
In the reply, the National Development and Reform Commission requested to further optimize the route plan in the feasibility study stage of the project, make the best use of traffic passages, reduce land division and make economical and intensive use of land resources. Most sections of the project line pass through soluble rock strata, and the geological conditions are complex. Therefore, we should strengthen engineering geological investigation, stabilize the route scheme and put forward scientific engineering treatment measures. Combined with the overall planning of Chongqing, Guiyang and other cities and the existing stations, the construction scheme of related stations and supporting facilities of this project is reasonably planned, and the bus station is well connected with urban public transportation and other modes of transportation.
According to relevant sources, there is only one old Sichuan-Guizhou single-track railway between Guiyang and Chongqing, 1965 completed, 199 1 electrified, with a mileage of 463 kilometers, low technical standards, small capacity, long train running time, insufficient annual cargo transportation capacity160,000 tons, and the average running speed of passenger and freight trains is only. It has seriously restricted the economic and trade exchanges between Chongqing and Guizhou, especially with the accelerated construction of Guiyang-Guangzhou express railway and lanzhou-chongqing railway, only the old Sichuan-Guizhou railway will become a bottleneck section that restricts the northwest region and Chengdu-Chongqing region from passing through the south-central part of our province.
After completion, it will promote the economic development along the route and contribute to the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone currently being planned.
