A brief history of Squibb's company

In 1887, two young Americans, William McLaren Bristol and John Rip Myers, founded a drug sales company with their dreams.

In the late 19th century, Squibb founded a pharmaceutical company named after himself. In 1989, the two companies merged into Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, becoming the second largest pharmaceutical company in the world at that time.

Bristol-Myers Squibb has three legal entities in China, namely: Bristol-Myers Squibb (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Sino-American Shanghai Squibb Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Bristol-Myers Squibb (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd.

In addition, Mead Johnson, the brother company of Bristol-Myers Squibb, also came to China in 1997 to become a market leader with high-quality baby nutrition products. In the same year, Bristol-Myers Squibb also introduced Kangfubao's advanced medical stoma and wound treatment products to the China market.
