Chongqing Institute of Technology has two campuses: Nanquan Campus covers an area of 766 mu and Shuangqiao Campus covers an area of 450 mu.

Chongqing Institute of Engineering is an ordinary undergraduate college established with the approval of the Ministry of Education, which focuses on engineering, features software and electronic information, and harmoniously develops economic management and humanities and arts. Its predecessor was Chongqing Zheng Da Software Vocational and Technical College, which was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 20 14 and renamed Chongqing Institute of Technology.
