Usually, each group of radiators has a locking valve at the joint between radiators, which is used to close the group of radiators during maintenance or overhaul. If the permanent leakage of a group of radiators is large, find the control valve for leaking radiators and turn the valve clockwise until it can't be turned off, thus closing the group of radiators.

It should be noted that the radiator heating system of new buildings is usually designed with two pipes in parallel. The advantage of this heating system is that turning off a group of radiators will not affect the normal heating of radiators in other rooms. However, if it is a series heating system, it should be noted that after the first group of radiators is turned off, it may affect others.

Treatment of radiator leakage:

1. If the radiator interface leaks, you can consider replacing the radiator flexible joint or adding hemp wire to improve the sealing performance. If the radiator plug is broken, the plug or bushing needs to be replaced.

2. For cast iron radiator, if there is water leakage at the wire-to-wire joint, please ask the manufacturer or professional plumber to replace the wire-to-wire or gasket without replacing the whole radiator.

3. For cast iron radiators, if the radiator leaks due to sand holes, just replace the radiator, and other radiators can be used.

For radiators made of steel, aluminum or copper, water leakage is usually due to aging or corrosion. As long as there is water leakage, it is necessary to replace a group of newly processed radiators, and it is best not to repair welding.

5. The radiator installed after re-maintenance must be tested again to ensure no leakage.
