Caterpillar has some requirements for English, but it is not too high. It is enough that you can express what you want to express relatively clearly in English. You don't need to be particularly fluent. I have interviewed at the R&D center in Wuxi, usually with three department managers, each of whom will interview you for an hour. I mainly use Chinese during interviews, but I may also use English. Because I had already interviewed once at the school before going to Wuxi for an interview.
