How to learn mold design?

I have tried to teach myself mold design before, and I have studied it for more than half a year. I can talk about my experience for your reference.

First, I bought a book online. I bought a second-hand book about salted fish at that time. It is called UG Introduction Course of Injection Mold Design, and comes with a CD. Then I learned a little according to the instructions in the book. Because I was doing wire cutting in the mold factory at that time, there was no computer, so I always worked in black and white. I went to the internet cafe to practice until after midnight when I was on the day shift, and then I read in the dormitory when I was on the night shift. So I persisted for more than three months and learned a lot. Sometimes it is the operation details of the command, and sometimes the software state is abnormal. Because there is no object for help, it can only be solved through Baidu. Sometimes it takes days to find it and I want to give up many times.

In short, after more than three months of persistence, I went to my friend who was a designer to verify what level I had learned. As a result, the product that my friend showed me was stumped at once, and I didn't practice it at all, so I knew that it would be fruitless to continue studying by myself, and I was still very tired. It is not difficult to learn what knowledge points, but without guidance, it is almost a waste of time to learn practical and working knowledge. This is my experience. Later, I asked my friend to introduce me to a teacher. I studied with the teacher for three months. It was really an introduction to mold design, and I was ready for the job-hopping later.

So I suggest that unless you have relatives and friends to take you to learn, it is better to find a teacher to learn, otherwise you will be very tired and in the wrong direction, but you will waste a lot of time and money.
