1. At present, there is no academic requirement for welding qualification certificate. At least 28 years of age can be directly reported to the seniors.

2. A welder is a type of work that closely connects metal or nonmetal workpieces by using appropriate welding methods, reasonable welding technology, suitable welding equipment and fillers of the same material or different materials.

In the new national vocational qualification catalogue, welders are listed as the second item of "Professional Qualification of Skilled Personnel", which are managed and certified by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security skill appraisal institutions (professional qualification certificate of welders) and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (welders and welding operators of civil nuclear safety equipment) respectively, and are admitted as professional qualifications.

4. The welder's certificate is the welding technical grade certificate, which represents the welding technical level and is also called the welder's professional qualification grade certificate. The issuing authority is the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, which is a necessary voucher for promotion, salary increase and professional title evaluation, and also a voucher for enjoying various policies such as settlement points, public rental housing priority and financial subsidies for vocational skills improvement. It is divided into junior workers (national vocational qualification level 5), intermediate workers (national vocational qualification level 4), senior workers (national vocational qualification level 3), technicians (national vocational qualification level 2) and senior technicians (national vocational qualification level 1).
