Since the Ming Dynasty, the marketing of salt in Huamachi has had a fixed area, and the salt on the fixed side has been sold to counties in northern Shaanxi, Guanzhong and even Hanzhong. In addition, it is also supplied to parts of Ningxia and Gansu provinces. Tomorrow, during the years of Shunde and Zhengde, it was also replaced by a robust Xixia horse, the so-called Huamachai, and named after it.

1936 after the liberation of Dingbian, salt was difficult under the blockade of the Kuomintang, and the saltworks made special contributions to the daily life of the soldiers and civilians in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.
