Luoyang Forestry Vocational College is located in Luoyang City, the Millennium Imperial Capital and Peony Flower City. It is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college. The college, formerly known as Luoyang Agriculture and Forestry Secondary Technical School in Henan Province, was founded in April of 195 1. It was established on the basis of the Central Cemetery Management Office of the former Kuomintang Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Soil and Fertilizer Training Course of the Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry, in response to Mao Zedong's call to develop the northwest. It is one of the first five forestry colleges in China.

April 20 13, approved by the people's government of Henan province and put on record by the Ministry of Education, was independently set up as "Henan Forestry Vocational College" at the specialist level. At present, it is the only forestry vocational college in Henan Province, and it is known as the "cradle of forestry talents in Henan".

Luoyang Forestry Vocational College has a strong faculty, with 326 faculty members, including 25 full-time teachers, 98 professors and associate professors, and 5 doctors and masters. The college also hired some well-known scholars and experts at home and abroad as visiting professors.
