Domestic development:

1986, under the auspices of Professor Liu Huaiwen, a famous steel pipe expert, China successfully introduced the first Bondi pipe production line from Australia, and Huayan Band-Aid Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the first enterprise specializing in the production of Bondi pipes in China, was completed and put into operation in Qinhuangdao on 1987, which filled the gap in the production of Bondi pipes in China.

Huayan Band-Aid Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a joint venture between China Iron and Steel Research Institute of Ministry of Metallurgy, Qinhuangdao Economic and Technological Development Zone and Australian Band-Aid Pipe Industry Co., Ltd., has an annual output of 5,000 tons of Bundy pipes, which can provide various molded pipe fittings for the automobile industry and produce wire-tube condensers for the refrigerator industry. As a member of the international band-aid family, it is the only enterprise in China with the name of "band-aid" and the right to use the trademark.
