What is fluorocarbon spraying? Can stainless steel surfaces be made?

1. Fluorocarbon spraying is a kind of electrostatic spraying and liquid spraying, which is called fluorocarbon spraying, and it is called curium oil in Hong Kong. It belongs to high-grade spraying, so it is expensive and has been used abroad for a long time.

In recent years, it has been widely used in aluminum curtain walls in China. Because of its excellent characteristics, it has attracted more and more attention from the construction industry and users.

Fluorocarbon spraying has excellent fading resistance, freezing resistance and corrosion resistance to air pollution (acid rain, etc.). ), strong anti-ultraviolet ability, strong anti-crack ability, and can withstand harsh weather environment. It is beyond the reach of ordinary coatings.

2. Fluorocarbon spraying is mainly used for aluminum curtain wall. In addition to excellent mechanical properties such as wear resistance and impact resistance, it also shows long-term fading resistance, ultraviolet resistance and corrosion resistance, especially in harsh climate and environment. Stainless steel itself has good corrosion resistance, and fluorocarbon spraying is generally not used on the surface of stainless steel.

Extended data:

The fluorocarbon spraying process is as follows:

Pretreatment process: aluminum degreasing and decontamination → water washing → alkali washing (degreasing) → water washing → acid washing → water washing → chromizing → water washing → pure water washing.

Spraying process: spraying primer → topcoat → topcoat → baking paint (180-250℃)→ quality inspection.

The multi-layer spraying process consists of three spraying (referred to as three spraying), primer, topcoat and topcoat, and secondary spraying (primer and topcoat).

1) purpose of pretreatment: before spraying aluminum alloy profiles and plates, the surface of the workpiece should be degreased, decontaminated and chemically treated to form a chromized film, which will increase the adhesion between the coating and the metal surface and the oxidation resistance, which is beneficial to prolonging the service life of the paint film.

2) Primer coating: As a primer coating for sealing the substrate, its function is to improve the permeability resistance of the coating, enhance the protection of the substrate, stabilize the metal surface, and strengthen the adhesion between the topcoat and the metal surface, thus ensuring the color uniformity of the topcoat. The thickness of paint layer is generally 5- 10 micron.

3) Topcoat painting: Topcoat painting is the key layer of spraying, which provides the decorative color needed by aluminum, makes the appearance of aluminum meet the design requirements, and protects the metal surface from external environment, acid rain and pollution, and prevents ultraviolet rays from penetrating.

Greatly enhance the anti-aging ability, the topcoat coating is the thickest paint layer in spraying, and the thickness of the paint layer is generally 23-30 microns.

4) Overfinish coating: Overfinish coating, also known as varnish coating, is mainly used to effectively enhance the external corrosion resistance of the paint layer, protect the topcoat, increase the metallic luster of the topcoat color, and make the appearance more dazzling. The coating thickness is generally 5- 10 micron. Third, the total thickness of spray coating is generally 40-60 microns, which can be thickened according to special needs.

5) Curing treatment: the third spraying generally requires secondary curing, and the aluminum material enters the curing furnace for treatment. The curing temperature is generally between180℃ and 250℃, and the curing time is15-25min. Different fluorocarbon coating manufacturers will provide the best temperature and time according to their own coatings. Some fluorocarbon spraying plants (oil plants) have also changed the secondary curing from three spraying to one curing according to their own experience.

6) Quality inspection: Quality inspection shall conform to AAMA-605.02.90 standard. Strict quality inspection can ensure high quality spraying products.
