When does Disney open?

Shanghai Disneyland is the first Disney theme park in mainland China. It is located in Chuansha New Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai. It officially opened on June 16, 2016. It is the first Disney theme park in mainland China, the third in Asia, and the sixth Disney theme park in the world.

Tourists are not allowed to bring food that needs to be heated, reheated, processed, refrigerated or kept warm, or food with pungent odors. On May 11, 2020, Shanghai Disneyland reopened to the public.

On March 7, 2008, Pudong, Shanghai’s first choice for building Disneyland, was announced. In June of the same year, there were reports that after many rounds of arduous negotiations, Disney decided to settle in Chuansha Town, Pudong and the adjacent Nanhui District at the time. The park area may be as wide as 10 square kilometers, with a planned investment of 40 billion yuan. The earliest Opened in 2012 to welcome guests.
