What is the purpose of the offer approval?

An offer is equivalent to an offer stipulated in China's contract law and has legal effect. Job seekers have made a lot of efforts to get the offer, which is equivalent to preparing for the performance of the contract. The employer department confirms the demand of the employer, on the day of the interview or the day after the interview; HR prepares an offer according to the employment requirements and submits it to the person in charge of HR for approval, usually 1~2 days; Offer will be countersigned to the person in charge of the employing department, usually 1~2 days; Recruit the approved employment notice of HR, and follow up the employment notice issued by job seekers. For large multinational group companies, the relevant offer process will be longer, because the bigger the company, the finer the division of labor, and there will be many levels of approval processes from HR to the employing department; For foreign investors, many headquarters are not in China. If higher-level job recruitment is involved, it may need to be signed and approved at overseas headquarters. Due to the differences in time, region and culture, it may take a little longer to sign and approve.

The general quotation process is:

The employing department confirms the employment demand, drafts the employment application according to the HC budget of the department, including the employment position and estimated salary, and submits it to the heads of major departments in the United States for approval, which is generally completed within 3 days without urging.

Obtain the approval of the senior management of the department and hand it over to the human resources department to run the employment process.

HR submits the corresponding manpower requirements to the HR person in charge and the financial person in charge to confirm whether the salary is approved or not, and HC approves it; Usually within 3 days, but because the finance is in Hong Kong, sometimes it is not urgent, and a reply will be given within one week.

After the approval of HR and the person in charge of finance, the recruitment HR will prepare a formal offer and communicate the relevant details with the job seeker. Usually the same day or the next day;

If an agreement is reached, HR will issue an offer.

If the whole process goes smoothly, it can be completed within a week. It may take two weeks if there is a holiday abroad or the relevant person in charge is on vacation. Under normal circumstances, HR will urge all sign-offs to be completed within two weeks, so as to avoid other opportunities for job seekers who are too long.
