Did United Airlines recruit people in China?

United Airlines has never recruited stewardesses in Chinese mainland. But in the 1990s, the United States recruited flight attendants from Hong Kong and Taipei bases. Now the Taipei base is closed, but the Hong Kong base is still there. Many former Taipei base members are now working in Tokyo or Hong Kong base. Around 2005, the former Northwest Airlines and now Delta Airlines recruited flight attendants in China. China flight attendants who speak Chinese are now working in the United States.
