The difference between coating and printing

The difference between coating and printing lies in their different processes and application fields.

Coating is the process of coating paint or coating evenly on the surface of the substrate, with the purpose of enhancing the performance of the substrate or realizing specific functions. Coatings are often used to make various coating materials, plastic films, paper and textiles. Printing is a process of printing patterns and characters on paper, plastic, metal, cloth and other substrates, with the purpose of information dissemination, decoration or recognition. Printing is often used to make books, newspapers, posters, packaging, labels and so on.

Although the application fields of coating and printing are different, there are similarities in some processes and technologies.
