Yin Yueping, second-level researcher, doctoral supervisor. Since 1986, he has been committed to the prevention and research of geological disasters in the Three Gorges Project reservoir area, and has been hired as an expert in geological disaster prevention by the the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee, which has made important contributions to the prevention and control of geological disasters in the resettlement operation of the Three Gorges Project reservoir area; During the Wenchuan earthquake relief in 2008, he was appointed by the State Council as a member of the National Wenchuan Earthquake Expert Committee, who was technically responsible for the emergency investigation of Wenchuan geological disasters and guided the implementation of the prevention and control project of extra-large geological disasters in the post-disaster reconstruction of the earthquake zone. Since the establishment of 1998, the Ministry of Land and Resources has successfully participated in and presided over the emergency treatment and disposal of most major geological disasters in China, and accumulated rich practical experience, becoming one of the chief experts in emergency treatment of major geological disasters in China.

Systematic innovations have been made in the early identification theory of geological disasters, high-speed and long-distance sliding disaster mode, monitoring and early warning methods, prevention and control projects, emergency treatment methods and technologies. Published 158 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, including SCI papers 16, EI papers 18, published 6 monographs, and edited 6 geological disaster mitigation and prevention standards (national standard 1 5). The research team led by him was selected as the world center of excellence for landslide mitigation by the International Landslide Association twice in a row (2008 and 20 1 1). At the same time, he has served as the chairman of the International Landslide Association (ICL), the director of the Special Committee on Neotectonics and Geological Disasters of the International Society of Engineering Geology (C24), and the member of the International Joint Technical Committee on Landslide (JTC- 1).
