Hongsibao District is the second municipal district in wuzhong, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, formerly known as Hongsibao Development Zone. Hongsibao District is located between Tongyan Mountain, Luoda Mountain and Niushou Mountain, bordering Yanchi in the east, Zhongning in the west, Tongxin in the south and Litong District and Lingwu in the north. It is about 80 kilometers long from east to west and 40 kilometers wide from north to south, with an area of 2,767 square kilometers. It is the main battlefield of the national large-scale water conservancy project-Ningxia Irrigation Project for Helping the Poor and Promoting the Yellow River ("1236" project), and it is the largest concentration area of ecological poverty alleviation immigrants in China.
