Can Americans be naturalized in China?

Americans who meet the conditions for naturalization in People's Republic of China (PRC) can be naturalized in China. China stipulates that foreigners or stateless persons who are willing to abide by the Constitution and laws of China and meet one of the following conditions may be granted China nationality upon application:

First, close relatives of China people;

Second, settle in China;
