China citizens who go abroad for non-official reasons, such as settling abroad, visiting relatives, studying, obtaining employment, traveling, engaging in business activities, etc. You can apply for an ordinary passport with your ID card. State functionaries and servicemen registered for the record still need the consent of their units before they can apply.

2. Anyone who meets one of the following conditions may apply for a new ordinary passport:

(1), the visa page is running out;

(2), the validity period is less than six months, or the validity period is more than six months, but there are materials to prove that the validity period does not meet the requirements of the destination country;

(3) The name, gender, ID number, place of birth and date of birth on the household registration book have changed or the applicant's appearance has changed significantly;

(4) the applicant can collect fingerprints after the finger injury is healed;

(5) Other circumstances identified by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security.

3. If the ordinary passport is damaged, lost or stolen, you can apply for a replacement.

4. Anyone who has a previous name, a traditional Chinese name, a mbth name, a multi-tone name or a non-standard Chinese phonetic name can apply for an ordinary passport note.

The application materials for extended information passport are as follows:

3. Resident identity card; During the collection, renewal and replacement of resident identity cards, temporary resident identity cards may be submitted;

In addition to the application materials in Items (1) and (2), active servicemen should also submit their identity certificates (such as ID cards and military officers' cards) and their photocopies, as well as the opinions issued by the competent department of the military system with the power of examination and approval to apply for ordinary passports.

8. For the renewal of ordinary passport, in addition to the application materials in Items (1), (2), (3) and (4), the original ordinary passport and its photocopy shall also be submitted. If China citizens who have settled abroad apply for renewal of ordinary passports in a short period of time, they must also submit a valid overseas settlement certificate and a temporary residence permit issued by the public security organ of their temporary residence.

9. In addition to the application materials in Items (1), (2), (3) and (4), the replacement of the ordinary passport shall be accompanied by an explanation of the damage, loss or theft of the original ordinary passport; If you apply for a replacement due to damage to your ordinary passport, you must also submit the damaged ordinary passport. If China citizens who have settled abroad apply for a replacement ordinary passport for a short period of time, they must also submit a valid overseas settlement certificate and a temporary residence permit issued by the public security organ in their temporary residence.

10. To apply for an ordinary passport, an application form, relevant supporting materials, a valid ordinary passport and a resident identity card shall be submitted. When China citizens who have settled abroad apply for reporting, they also need to submit valid overseas settlement certificates and temporary residence permits issued by the public security organs of their temporary residence.
