Introduction to Pingtou Township

Pingtou Township is located in the northwest of Lishi District, 40 kilometers away from the city, and is a typical loess hilly area. It borders Dawu Town of Fangshan County to the east, Zaolin Township to the south, and Linxian County to the west and north. The township government is named after it is located in Pingtou Village, and is known as the "Great Northwest" of Lishi. The terrain within the territory is undulating with ridges and ravines, and the terrain is high in the east and low in the west. The whole territory belongs to the temperate continental monsoon climate zone, with drought and little rainfall, nine droughts out of ten years, four distinct seasons, the annual average temperature is 10°C, and the annual precipitation is 450 mm, mostly in autumn, and the frost-free period is relatively long, up to about 170 days.
