Can I enter Bulgaria with a Schengen visa?

The Bulgarian Embassy announced that since 20 12 1 10, visa-free policies will be implemented for those who hold valid Schengen visas and valid long-term residence visas and residence permits issued by Schengen countries. This policy will be invalid after the insurance companies fully join the Schengen area. Relevant personnel should pay attention to the validity of certificates and the restrictions on the number of entry times to ensure that their stay in insurance companies does not exceed 3 months every 6 months.

However, when entering Bulgaria with a Schengen visa, please note:

1) If you have a single-entry Schengen visa, please enter Bulgaria before entering Schengen, in case Bulgaria refuses to enter after the Schengen visa expires.

2) If you have a multiple-entry Schengen visa, just make sure that you have a valid Schengen national visa when you enter Bulgaria.
