VCE course

VCE currently has 129 subjects for students to choose from, but in fact, students' choice will be limited by their school. If there are not enough students to choose a course, the school will not provide this subject for economic and schedule reasons. VCE subjects include English, mathematics, science, humanities, sports and foreign languages, and students can choose as many as 4 foreign languages (usually called LOTE, Languague Other Than English). Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indonesian offer courses in the first language and the second language. Chinese also has a primary second language (usually studied by students without Chinese background) and an advanced second language (usually studied by immigrants with Chinese background). China students and overseas Chinese usually choose Chinese. English and mathematics are two special subjects in VCE. As mentioned above, English provides four choices. English ESL as a second language is provided to take care of immigrants and overseas students. Qualification of second languagestatus is required, provided that the study time in English-speaking countries cannot exceed 5 years, and the general school will help international students to complete it. English (English or English Mainstream) is the most studied. 75% of the students choose English Languague UE, and English Literature is the most difficult English course. If students are interested, they can choose English ESL/English plus English Literature. Mathematics also provides three choices, and the most basic general mathematics B-Furthur Mathematics is mainly basic practical mathematics. The slightly more difficult 4-unit Mathematics Methods, which mainly focuses on calculus, is a compulsory course for college business, science and engineering. General Mathematics A-Specialized Mathematics, the most difficult advanced calculus, is a compulsory course for college actuarial science and engineering entrance. Students must study Mathematics Methods while studying Specialized Mathematics. Students can choose two mathematics courses. This is also a common choice for international students in China.

Grading

VCE grading is managed by VCAA, the Victorian college entrance examination course evaluation authority. Students only need to complete English and any four VCE courses and get satisfaction (Satisfactory). You can get a VCE certificate. If students want to receive a college education, they need more complicated grading.

Scoring system

VCE is a system that uses standard scores. The Study Score of each subject is 5, and the average score is 3. 5%. Students get more than 3 points, and the best 8% get more than 4 points. The best 2% get more than 45 points (6% get 4-45 points). In order to take care of the difficulty of each subject, the number of learners and the effective range, VCE has a Scaling system to ensure that the English difficulty of 25 is the same as that of other courses of 25 points. Take mathematics as an example. The final score of the students under the most difficult Specialist Mathematics will be about 1 points higher than the academic score (usually 1 points for this course). Specialist Mathematics and Latin are the only two subjects with a final score of 55 (advanced Chinese as a second language has a full score of 53). Simple methodological methods add 5 points, while the simplest Furthur Mathematics subtracts 5 points. All three Chinese are bonus courses. The effective range is also one of the bonus effects. For example, the difficulty coefficient of physics and chemistry is the same, but because all medical science requires chemistry and science and engineering are optional, the effective range of chemistry is higher than that of physics, and chemistry usually scores 1 point higher than that of physics. Subjects with small languages and few learners all score 5 points. If all subjects get a Perfect Study Score of 5 points, Get full marks in the final exam) are not reduced. Specialist Mathematics, Latin and Advanced Chinese as a second language will be increased to 55, 55 and 53 respectively. < P > After the evaluation of addition and subtraction, students will get at least 5 VCE scores. Usually, English and the other three subjects with the highest scores are counted as Primary 4. Other subjects are counted as Incremental Subjects. Although VCE does not limit the number of students' studies, at most two subjects can be counted as additional subjects, and the system will automatically select the highest two subjects. The author studied 7 courses that year. When scoring, the Chinese with the worst score is discarded. The total score of VCE is the sum of the scores of the main four subjects plus 1% of the scores of the plus subjects. The author's seven scores in that year were discarded, which were 42, 52, 48, 44, 4, 27, 24 and 24. The total score is 42+52+48+44+(4+27)*.1=192.7. In theory, the highest score of VCE is 223 (learning Specialist Mathemactis, Latin, Chinese as a second language, English, Mathematics Methods and any one). In special circumstances, the main four subjects will not choose the subjects with the highest scores of students. In special circumstances, the VCE subjects will be automatically included in the main four subjects if the universities that students apply for need specific VCE subjects. For example, if they apply for medicine, When calculating scores, no matter how many points are scored in chemistry and Specialist Maths, they will be counted in the main four courses.

After calculating the total score of VCE, it is necessary to compare the students' scores and calculate Enter (equivalent national tertiary entrance rankings). The scores are between 99.95 and .. There are about 2 students every .5. If you get the ENTER of 9., Explain that this student's VCE total score is the highest 1%. 99.95 indicates that this student is a student with the highest VCE of .5%. The ENTER of 99.95 is also called perfect enter score. Scores below 3 are all published with Less than 3 (less than 3). Actual scores will not be published.

Off-campus exams

VCE learning includes Final Exams and on-campus exams (usually School Assessed Coursework, SAC). Off-campus exams include formal subject exams and general proficiency tests (gat, Usually, only students in the 12th grade will take part, if students in the 11th grade have studied VCE 3/4 unit courses). Usually, the ability test is mainly used to evaluate the gap between schools and does not affect students' personal scores. The on-campus exams are usually given by teachers, and if there are multiple teachers, they will work together to give questions or one person will give questions to ensure fairness. Although both the on-campus exams and the off-campus exams are included in the total score, the on-campus exams are mainly used for ranking. For example, a class scored 48, 46 and 44 in the off-campus exam. Student A won the first place in the off-campus exam and the on-campus exam, and he will get a study score of 48. Student B won the second place in the off-campus exam, the third place in the on-campus exam, and the third place in the off-campus exam. Second place in the on-campus exam. If the off-campus exam and the on-campus exam account for the same proportion, student B and student C are both second, with an average score of 45. If the subject focuses on the off-campus exam, student B gets 46 points and student C gets 44 points. VCE is a prestigious high school diploma, which is recognized by schools in other Australian States and overseas (IB course is only taken by a few people). The number of VCE students in Victoria accounts for 99.5% of all high school students.
