What is a city planner?
Brief introduction: Urban planner refers to the professional and technical personnel who have passed the national unified examination, obtained the qualification certificate of urban planner and registered to engage in urban planning business. Persons who have obtained the qualification of registered urban planners through the national unified examination may be appointed as corresponding intermediate professional and technical positions by the employer according to the needs of their work.
On May 24th, 20001year, the General Office of the Ministry of Personnel and the General Office of the Ministry of Construction issued the Notice on Supplementary Provisions on the Registration Conditions for the Qualification Examination of Registered Urban Planners (No.38 [20065438+0]), which clearly stipulated the registration conditions and qualification examination for the qualification examination of registered urban planners.

Apply for qualification
People's Republic of China (PRC) citizens, who abide by the law and meet one of the following conditions, may apply for the qualification examination for registered urban planners:
(a) 10 years before the end of 980, he has obtained a secondary school degree in urban planning and has been engaged in urban planning for10 years.
(2) Before the end of 1982, he obtained a college degree in non-planning major and worked in urban planning for 10 years.
(three) to obtain a college degree in urban planning and have been engaged in urban planning for 6 years.
(four) to obtain a bachelor's degree in urban planning and have been engaged in urban planning for 4 years; Or obtain a bachelor's degree in urban planning and have been engaged in urban planning for 5 years.
(five) to obtain a bachelor's degree in urban planning who has passed the examination and has been engaged in urban planning for 3 years.
(six) to obtain a master's degree in urban planning, engaged in urban planning for 3 years.
(seven) to obtain a master's degree in urban planning or a similar professional doctorate, and to engage in urban planning for 2 years.
(eight) to obtain a doctorate in urban planning, engaged in urban planning work for 1 year.
(9) Before the promulgation of the Interim Provisions on the Qualification System of Registered Urban Planners (that is, before1April 7, 999).
Master degree in urban planning before 1 and 1987 (including 1987), engaged in urban planning for 10 or obtained a master degree in similar major, engaged in urban planning for 12 years.

According to the Notice on Approving Hong Kong and Macao Residents to Participate in the Qualification Examination for Professional and Technical Personnel held in the Mainland (No.9 issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs [2005]), all Hong Kong and Macao residents who meet the corresponding conditions of the qualification examination for registered urban planners can sign up for the examination according to the procedures and requirements specified in the document. ;
