Should biotechnology go to graduate school or go abroad?

I am a junior majoring in biotechnology, and I have also experienced the difficult choice of studying at home or going abroad for further study. After many weighing, I decided to take the postgraduate entrance examination in China first.

Personally, the choice of studying in China or going abroad for further study is mainly determined by two factors, one is family conditions, and the other is what you expect from biotechnology.

In Britain and the United States, where the biological field is relatively developed, the tuition and accommodation fees of excellent universities need about 300,000-400,000 RMB a year. Although some international students will take part-time jobs to subsidize their living expenses, I don't agree with this practice, because the primary task of studying abroad is to study. If you have to allocate time to part-time jobs with tired income and less income, it will be a bit of a loss.

So before making this decision, you must know whether your family conditions can bear it. And now the biology major in China is developing very well. If you can get a graduate student from C9 or the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, or study on some excellent experimental platforms in China, such as Beijing Institute of Life Sciences, various institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Huada Gene Research Institute, you can also continue to study in the field of biotechnology.

After four years of undergraduate study, every student majoring in biotechnology will know this major very well. At this time, you should think about whether you still have a strong interest in this major. Do you want to go further into this industry? If the answer is yes, and your family conditions can support you to study abroad, I still suggest that you choose to go abroad. Many big cows in the field of biology have studied abroad, and they are often some top universities in Britain and America. If you can have the opportunity to go abroad to broaden your horizons and see more cutting-edge technologies, it will add a lot of color to your resume. After all, the level of biotechnology abroad is still far ahead of ours.
