Inside the immigration bureau

Since 20 1 1 14 10, corruption cases in Portugal's immigration bureau have been raging, and then the government has rectified the internal affairs of the immigration bureau and the approval process for gold residence for several months, which was not officially completed until April this year. During this period, due to the rectification, the approval speed of some submitted applications did slow down, and the number of new applicants increased continuously, which increased the workload during the rectification period.

After the rectification, the operation mode of approving gold residence by the Immigration Bureau was changed from centralized handling to the system of approving local applications in various urban areas. At the same time, SEF also issued the revised bill and the new operating rules, which also stipulated in detail that the approval time for new applications and card replacement should not exceed 90 days in the future.

Therefore, at present, the Immigration Bureau is in a transitional period to deal with the backlog. There are indeed very few cases that have been delayed for a long time, but most people still operate within normal time.
