Can China driver's license be used in Canada?

Traffic law is a provincial law, not a federal law, so the policies of each province are different. According to your status in Canada, the length of time you can drive in Canada with your ZG driver's license is different.

So discussing how long you can drive here with a ZG driver's license depends on two conditions: one is which province you drive in, and the other is what status you are (that is, what visa you get).

Let's talk about Ontario, Ontario.

If you are an immigrant, you will have 60 days to get a driver's license in Ontario. In other words, if you have a ZG driver's license, you can drive for 60 days

With the state party's driver's license, you can directly change the Ontario driver's license without taking the exam. ZG does not belong to the state party and must pass the road test.

New immigrants from Ontario have just landed and can drive with ZG driver's license within 60 days. That's right. But if you take the G 1, then your ZG driver's license can't be opened here. Your identity is G 1. If you are caught driving, you will be punished twice.

-G 1 is a level of Ontario driver's license. Test G 1 means that the driver's license of other provinces and other countries has expired.

-G 1 license plate is not allowed to drive alone. Only those who have held G license for more than 4 years can take the co-pilot.

Give you one ticket loosely and two tickets strictly. And the consequences of this ticket are very serious.

So remember, especially those students who plan to rent a car as soon as they get here, don't drive after G 1 and before getting on G2. If you plan to rent a car as soon as you come, if both husband and wife come, one of them should not take the G 1 first, and drive with a ZG driver's license. The other one should take G 1 and G2 quickly, and after G2, he can be a driver. The original driver continued to test G 1 and G2.

One more thing to note, these 60 days are your first time (first time! ) from the date of landing, oh, not the date of your boarding. Of course, you need to bring your passport and immigration documents, ZG driver's license and the translation of driver's license when driving.

If you are a tourist, ZG driver's license can drive in Ontario for 3 months.

For more than 3 months, you must have an IDP (international driver's license). See the second half of this article for details.

If you are a tourist in British Columbia, you can drive for six months, and the regulations on the location of your driver's license also apply. But this article does not apply to new immigrants. Visitors mentioned here refer to holders of tourist visas, and new immigrants are PR, not visitor visas.

International students can stay for more than 6 months, but they must be full-time students in institutions recognized by the provincial government, and they must carry their study permit and student ID card with them.

New immigrants are 90 days from your first time (first time! ! ! ) the time is counted from the date of landing. When driving, you need to bring your passport and immigration documents, ZG driver's license and the translation of driver's license.

Therefore, British Columbia gives new immigrants 90 days to apply for a driver's license in British Columbia, which means that holders of ZG driver's licenses can drive for 90 days.

Alberta, Alberta

A province's driver's license level is more complicated, from 1 to 7. The exam is also divided into theoretical knowledge (No.7) and road test (No.5 GDL or advanced).

Tourist visit

If you are a tourist, student and temporary foreign worker in Alberta, you can drive for one year if you have a foreign driver's license and an international driver's license.

However, after reading the following introduction about international driver's license (IDP), you will understand that ZG is not a contracting state, and ZG driver's license can't get IDP, so according to this theory, tourists with ZG driver's license can't drive in Alberta.
