Step by step, how do you get the social security number?

K 1, K3 visa holders need the following requirements to apply for SSN. The following steps are general requirements, but there are some exceptions. You should know that every application case is different and should be treated differently. But most of them still follow the following steps.

Application steps:

Suitable for K 1 visa holders:

As the holder of the K- 1 visa, you have the right to apply for SSN (provided that I-94 is within the validity period). You don't have to wait until your I-94 is about to expire before applying for SSN. If your application is about to expire when your I-94 is about to expire (usually two weeks before I-94 expires), many SSA offices will not approve your application. On the other hand, you can't apply for SSN too early. You need to land on the island before you can apply for SSN, which is two weeks in the United States. Because if you apply for SSN just after entering the United States, your entry record has not been entered into the computer by ASVI savings system. If there is no record of you in the computer, USCIS will ask you to prove that you entered the United States.
