The Five Capitals of Wei State

Luoyang: It was the official capital after Cao Pi established the Wei State;

Xuchang: The capital used in the late Han Dynasty. However, because Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty and the pro-Han faction gathered here, Cao Cao In his later years, this place was no longer the actual political center;

Ye: Cao Cao’s base camp in his later years and the fiefdom of Wei State were also in this area. Cao Cao basically worked here in his later years and rarely went to Luoyang;

Chang'an: Guarding the west, Cao Rui personally came here to sit in battle during Zhuge Liang's first Northern Expedition;

Qiao: In what is now Bo County, Anhui, it is Cao Cao's hometown
