General situation of Tanghe main stream

The main stream of Tanghe River originates from Cuiping Mountain in the south of Hunyuan, Shanxi Province, flows through Lingqiu County of Shanxi Province, leaves Taihang Mountain and enters Laiyuan County, Tangxian County and Shunping County of Baoding City, Hebei Province. The river course of the following reach has experienced several natural and artificial changes in history, and 1966 has artificially opened up a new river course. The water from Tongtianhe River, Sanhui River and Countercurrent River in Tangxian County is collected in the Western Ocean Reservoir and discharged to the Western Ocean.

There are 43 tributaries in Dongshuigou, 7.5km northeast of Gunfengling, Cuiping Mountain, Hunyuan. Enter Lingqiu County from Wangzhuangbao of Hunyuan, cross Lingqiu Basin from east to west, turn southeast from Mentougou Valley, and enter Laiyuan County of Hebei Province through Beiquan Village of Hongshileng Township. The main river in Lingqiu County flows through six towns, namely Yudong, Tangzhiwa, Chengguan, Gaojiazhuang, Luoshui River and Hongshiyuan, with a total length of 58 kilometers. Including six tributaries, the basin area in China is 207 1 km2. The river is 50-200 meters wide.

In Tangxian County, Tanghe River is the main river flowing through the territory, which is a perennial river. To the southeast, it flows into Shunping County through Daomaguan, Hongcheng and Erdaohe, twists and turns to the south through Shennan Village and then returns to Tangxian County. Then it turns from east to southwest, passes through Tang Mei, Baihe, Mingfu and Dongzhuang Bay, flows into Tongtian River, and gathers in Xidayang Reservoir.
