How to apply for a passport and visa

Legal analysis: First, apply for a passport.

China citizens who apply for ordinary passports for personal reasons must apply to the exit-entry administration department of the municipal or county public security bureau where their household registration is located. The general procedure is:

(1) Get the Exit Application Form: (2) Fill in the Entry and Exit Application Form for China Citizens; (3) Submit the Application Form for Entry and Exit of China Citizens; (4) Waiting for a passport: After accepting the application form and corresponding materials submitted by the public security organ, the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ can make a decision on whether to approve the applicant's passport application, and generally notify the applicant within 30 days. Second, the visa

1. Submit a valid passport.

2. Submit various documents related to the application, such as birth certificate, marital status certificate, education certificate and work experience certificate.

3. Fill in and submit the visa application form. Different visas have different forms. Most of them should be filled out in foreign languages and photos should be provided at the same time.

4. Go to the embassy or consulate in China to meet officials. Some countries stipulate that all immigrant applicants must be interviewed before making a decision; Some countries also require interviews to apply for non-immigrant visas.

5. The embassy or consulate shall submit the completed visa application form and necessary supporting materials to the domestic competent authorities for examination and approval. The embassies and consulates of a few countries have the right to issue visas directly, but they still have to report to China for the record.

6. After going to the competent department of the host country for necessary examination and approval, notify the embassy or consulate of the host country of the examination and approval opinions. If you agree, a visa will be issued. If you refuse, you will also inform the applicant.

7. Pay the visa fee.

Legal basis: Article 4 of the Administrative Measures for the Issuance of Ordinary Passports and Entry-Exit Passes of the People's Republic of China is under any of the following circumstances. A citizen may apply for an expedited ordinary passport to the entry-exit administrative organ of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level where his domicile is located, and submit the corresponding materials: (1) Going abroad to attend a funeral or visit a critically ill patient; (2) The commencement date of studying abroad is approaching; (3) The entry permit or visa of the destination country will expire soon; (four) other emergency reasons identified by the exit and entry administration department of the public security organ of the provincial local people's government.
