How to study the technology of other races in Space Empire 4

Technology is roughly divided into two categories: ordinary technology and special technology. Anyone can research ordinary technology, as long as they have reached the basics of research (for example, if you want to research ray weapons, you must have a basic foundation in physics). Special technologies need to be invested in attribute points when establishing a race, otherwise they cannot be researched (crystal, organic, religious, spiritual, time).

Researching technology requires investing in research points, so I won’t go into details on this point. Intelligence agencies provide intelligence points, and research belong to two completely different systems. Entering the intelligence warfare interface, you can allocate intelligence points. Depending on the intelligence capabilities of the enemy and ourselves, a certain proportion of the intelligence points will be used for spying or destruction, and the rest will be used for defense. It should be noted that intelligence points can be integrated with each other through alliance agreements. If you invest too little in intelligence, you may be killed by an enemy who specializes in intelligence before the war even begins.

Decomposing spaceships is used to recover resources. The analysis spaceship is used to research technology. If some parts of the enemy's spaceship are more advanced than your existing technology, you can upgrade your own technology in this area by analyzing the spacecraft (of course, there is no point in analyzing a backward spacecraft). Generally, plunder ships always focus on the enemy's colony ships. Forget about other technologies, warships that focus on firepower cannot be defeated by one or two predator ships. Even if you grab it, you can't transport it away because the engine and everything are damaged (Ignore it if you don't pretend to self-destruct...).
